How to calculate attrition for a year , it is the same formula how we calcualte montly attrition rate, or it differs
Regards: RB SAIADITHIYA
I am sure the below formula is not correct. this shall not be based on the average head count.
You can calculate using to below formula. No of employees left : X No of employees Joined : A Opening head count during that period: B Average head count (C) : A+B / 2 Attrition = X/C * 100
No of employees left : X No of employees Joined : A Opening head count during that period: B Total Head Count (C) : A+B
Attrition = X/C * 100
Pl debate me if I am wrong
We prepare quarterly attrition reports in our org;
Whether you conduct it yearly or half/yearly, the basis of calculation (so called formula) remains the same.
It goes like this:
Number of employees at the beginning of the month: 50
Left: 10 (during the month)
Joined: 5 (during the month)
Present headcount: (50-10+5)= 45 (at the end of the month)
Attrition rate: (Left/presentheadcount)/100
Attrition rate: (10/45)*100= 22%
