Re: Attriion and retention

Hey ,

Here is the Retention Rate formula :

% Retention Rate (RR) = 100 - [ {S-(UT+BT)}/AE x 100]
Where:
RR = Retention Rate
S = Total Number of terminations from what ever cause (In effect this means the total number employees that have left the company for what ever reason)
UT = Unavoidable Terminations (i.e. retirements or long term illness)
BT = Beneficial Terminations (i.e. sometimes those staff that do leave provide benefit to the company by virtue of leaving, for example under performers
AE = The average number of employees working for the company during the same period as calculated, this should be any period of 12 months.

Hope you will find this useful.

Brgds,

Priyanka

Re: Attriion and retention

Hi,

Following my previous post ; here is the simple attrition rate formula.

Total Number of Resigns per month (Whether voluntary or forced) divided by (Total Number of employees at the beginning of the month plus total number of new joinees minus total number of resignations) multiplied by 100.

Brgds,

Priyanka

Hi,

There is /2 between Total Strength of employees at the begining of month + Total Strenght of employees at the end of month/2 *100.
