EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT TECHNIQUES

hello friends I am starting a discussion on Employee Engagement which I feel is a need for the hour, during recession  employee layoff was a great tool for reducing cost but employees are the most important asset of the organization and during the time of performance retaining the best talent becomes one of the major challenge for any HR so we will be starting  a discussion on the same.

Feel free to share any thoughts, information or any resources relevant to the topic and thus we begin.

There can be n number of employee engagement techniques. Weekend party is the most commenly used. New joinee party is one of the most important.

It can also includes taking suggestion from all employees in management decision, allowing them to come up openly and share ideas

Thank you for responding, I feel understanding employee needs providing them with various Relational Rewards can also be a employee engagement technique and if those rewards cannot be easily imitable then it becomes an competitive advantage for the organization as well. Thanks Keep posting. Santanu

other than activites which is more of fun & outdoor kind off, company can keep thier employees engaged in more work related activities also e.g. - making member of company's sports or cultural committee; in activities like suggestion schems, quality circles, quality certifications like six sigma/ TS-ISO etc.

such engagement activities not only raise employees self confiedence & gives them recgnition but is very beneficial for Company/ business also.
