I am working as HR Incharge in company. This company not having proper training & development system.They want me to work on it. So I have to made specific training system for them. Please, guide me regarding this. How can I make an effective plan for this?
To impart and implement effective training programme please follow guidelines:
Meet all HODs one to one and discuss regarding what type of training programmes are required to their subordinates in terms of functional and behavirous or soft skils..
Make list of training programme of all departments and make calender for one calender year.
Make a list of trainers internally which will be cost effective and if not possible in some cases, go for external within the city.
Start the training programme and give guidelines to all traiers that they shouod prepare qauiestionnaire for evaluation.
Take the attendance of the trainees and feedback.
Preapre compliance of training programme and present to the management in % of compliance.
If required start retraiing also

Before you begin to develop a training program, you must determine what the organization is lacking in terms of competencies, knowledge and skills. In short, a needs assessment.
To make such assessment, you have to involve the upper levels of the organization. Without their input and support (support will based on their input - their ownership of the program), the training will fail simply because the employees will look over you shoulder to see who is behind your efforts. If they see noone, they will not participate; however, if they see Senior Management and Department Heads, obviously their attention will be enhanced.
You have to make the presentation to the Seniors based on the Mission of the organization and how to achieve that goal. Prior to the meeting, ask each Department Head to bring to the meeting 3-5 things that his/her department needs to accomplish in order to support the Mission.
On a flip chart or board, list each item as presented by the Department Head, then detemine through discussion and consensus the 3-5 MOST IMPORTANT training needs, and how to address them.
The group then needs to determine whether to develop programs in-house, specific to the needs of the organization, or outsource the training, bringing in consultants to learn the business and then adjust off the shelf" programs they have to fit your organizational needs.
