Dear All, I`m working on Employee Engagement Plan for an engineering sector. Would like to create a new enviornment and feel good factors as well. ofcourse it forms part of retention activites. Pls do share your expereince , thoughts, suggestions, activities..and any end to end plan framework.. Thanks in advance.
Begin with a climate survey to determine what ails the organization and thereafter begin to address those issues. Remember if the “Manager knows what to do he will”. Cheers,
We normally start with Work Employee Survey. For this survey we hire a third party which only gives us scores and issues, not the name of employees who filled what. If you do not want to hire somebody from outside you can get an account on Surveymonkey.com, you can also create an account for free on surveymonkey.com but it will give you limited amount of options. After getting the results we share these results with Department heads and discuss the issues raised by the employees in the survey. Then we conduct a open forum with employees and share the score with them and acknolwedge that we got their point and understood the problems they are facing. All the senior management attend this meeting to show care and concern for their employees. In this forum we ask employees about their ideas and suggestion about their problems, what they need and what they are looking for. This is the way employee feel engaged and see that they are heard by the senior management. After taking all the suggestions HR work on them and make yearly plan to address thoses issues and propose to the senior management. After approval announcements are done. This plan includes various staff engagement activities, succession planning, benefit plans, growth oppertunities, Training and development, employee rewards and other fun activities. Hope that helps....let me know if you need any further suggestions with any other problem. Thank you,
