Can anybody let me know, what's the procedures or step should be taken when going to choose "Employee of the Month"?
I can simplify the system of employee of the month as follows:
Org. mgmt. should identify the criteria of the employee of the month.
The priority and weight should match org. objectives and strategy.
For example: If the org. objective to achieve high quality level then the criteria may be to which extent the employee participated in raising the quality level.
Org. mgmt. should select the committee that will evaluate the candidates of this award.
3- Election & Recommendation
In this part the system should identify who will recommend the employee of the month.
For example: Department Manager, Head of Section, employee can recommend himself / herself.
Selection method should be identified, for example majority, consensus, ranking, points, .....
What are the benefits, for example publishing his / her photo on certain board, certificate, award, ........
First of all you have to define the criteria that should be applied for choosing the right candidate. for example absenteeism, cooperation with fellow workers , supervisors, quality and quantity of work etc....
also you need to decide is it going to be public voting? you will allow the employees to recommend and vote for a colleague or the choosing and voting is going to be the sole responsibility of the dept. heads.
