Online job applications and further reciprocation?

Dear professionals,

We normally post our resumes on several websites to have employers/consultants view our resumes while we apply for jobs and anticipating some kind of response.

However, it is observed these days that although you apply for hundreds of jobs online, you hardly recieve a response which makes me feel if the job postings are for real or only a means for collating the database. On the other hand, if the jobs are indeed real, then do you think it has to be professional etiquette on the part of consultant/employer to respond whatever the feeback.

I anxiously await for your views.

Thank you.

Cheers,

Aarti

If you intend to wait for employers to reciprocate to you, then I must say you will be waiting a very long time. Its the hard fact but online job boards are only becoming ineffective as a primary strategy in finding a job.

Hi Aarti,

I suggest you begin to leverage LinkedIn and understand the basics behind recruiters searching for candidates on social media.
