Instrument to Measure Creativity & Innovation

Dear Colleagues,

Some one asked for this information a few days and hence thought of addressing his concern.

Yes, there are some tests to measure creativity or innovativeness. I haven't used any personally and can't tell you much about them other than to say that you have to be fairly careful with them because it really depends on how you define creativity or innovativeness. Some of the more common personality measures, like the 16PF and Manchester Personality Questionnaire, include scales that assess whether someone is "creative" or "innovative", and the OPQ has an "artistic" scale. I think there have been a number of instruments developed for academic use but not published. I don't know of any websites that have information about these types of scales.

Hope this takes your questioning to a higher level ; )

Regards

Prof Tandon
