Building an Asset Base for Learning Organization
Dear Colleagues,
All of us working in various organizations and in various fields ,talk about creating a learning organization. In a knowledge driven organization, it takes a detailed exercise to identify what knowledge and learning is required and how do you create the asset base to support this kind of learning and knowledge generation. Following important points come to my mind in order to do a detailed systematic exercise on the same: 1. Process for identifying what knowledge and learning is required in the organization. 2.Process and framework for encouraging the creation of knowledge in the organization through in house whitepapers, seminars,newsletters etc . 3. Process to provide good research facilities through identifying good quality books, journals, magazines,reports, Computer based training programs etc and procuring the same. 4. Process for using intranet for the dissemination of knowledge. 5. Process for institutionalizing e-learning for the employees at remote locations or at customer sites.
