Recent Changes in Employer-Employee relationship

Hi All,

I am an HR professional with +15 years of experience in generalist HR functions. Currently I am heading the HR functions of an MNC Pharmaceutical company with its corporate office in Chennai.

Currently, I am on a Company Project on "Recent Changes in Employer-Employee relationship / culture" related to business re-thinking. In this regards I request your views:
Is there any noticeable change in employer-employee relationship or work-culture pattern in last 3 years or likely to happen in the coming period - particularly in manufacturing industry.

I could think of following :-
1.Shortening employee life cycle - expected to be 2 - 5 years against 5 - 20 years
2.Increased expectation on work-place facilities, resources commitment (e.g. ERP, e-mail and Internet, training etc)
3.Role-driven instead of Designation driven

Your inputs shall be of great help to me.

Regards,

S Bai
