Dear Friends,

National Holidays are declared under Negotiable Instrument Act. However 26th Jan, 1st May, 15th Aug & 2nd Oct are compulsory holidays that establishments/ompanies/industries have to be declared. Others can be decided with consultaion with union.

If the factory or process is contineous nature like in chemical industries, then such companies can get the exemption from this and alternate holidays can be declared.
