Notice Period

Hello friends,

What are the best ways to give notice? The worst? Am I obligated to give two weeks? Can I give, like, 12 days instead? What happens if I already have a doctor's appointment made for the last week I'm supposed to be here? Do I cancel the appointment out of respect to the Almighty Two Weeks? Do I go ahead and take the afternoon off of work, anyways, even though it will be my last week?

And when it comes time to give notice, how honest should I be? Tell them that this job made me CRAZY? Or just that I found a job with better compensation?

Re: Notice Period

Dear Member,

First of all congrats for your new job.

However regarding the notice period first refer your Appointment letter with present organization for the terms and conditions.

You needn't serve the entire period, however it is always advisable to end your relations with present organization in good  note.

Explain them your situation, commit them that you will give proper handover and request  to reduce your notice period stay. Also your new employer will be impressed with this gesture.

Try to manage both the parties assertively.

Good luck
